Talespinner Tools Hub
Lightweight planners that complement guides—not replacements for playing runs.
Talespinner is deep enough that paper notes stop working: two hundred plus cards, three heroes, Storybook branches, and dozens of companions mean reward screens arrive faster than mental math. This hub hosts interactive wiki tools—small in-browser helpers that sit beside written guides on Steam and Nintendo Switch after the 2026-08-06 launch.
Tools here do not cheat the roguelike. They do not spawn saves or reveal hidden seeds. They help you ask better questions: Does this reward match my tags? Can I afford the next Storybook page and still reach the boss with block?
Available tools
Deck Synergy Tool — Tag your current plan (Jade banking, weak spots, tempo, charm) and compare hypothetical rewards. Useful after shops, elites, or Gyokushin channel turns when three picks look equally flashy. Pair with Cards Tier List and Builds Tier Guidance.
Story Points Tool — Model Story Point spending across upcoming nodes. Story Points gate optional encounters described in Storybook Encounters and the broader How to Play loop. The tool helps you avoid buying flavor events while HP is too low for the boss check.
More tools may appear after launch if players request them—track Updates for wiki additions tied to patches.
When to use tools versus guides
Use guides when you do not understand a mechanic yet—weak spots, charm branches, scenario differences, or boss telegraphs live under Guides Hub.
Use tools when you understand mechanics but face a decision with opportunity cost. Examples:
- You are Gyokushin with partial Jade engines and must choose a third Dragon card versus block.
- You have six Story Points and two candidate pages before a biome boss.
- You are debating charm versus fight on an elite with a companion tax.
Use tier lists when you need default guidance without typing your deck—see Tier List Hub. Tier lists remain opinion; tools encode your specific run.
Hero and scenario context
Tools are hero-agnostic math with hero-specific presets. Gyokushin players should enable Jade and Dragon tags in the deck tool; tempo archetype players should weight cheap strikes; control players should weight charm and companion tags.
Scenario choice—Hattori versus Yuki Onna—changes enemy pressure but not Story Point rules. Set scenario difficulty in your head before trusting a greedy Storybook plan.
Limits and honesty
Wiki tools lag patches until volunteers update constants. Always read card text in-game after Updates posts balance changes. Demo history already altered channel HP costs and Dragon card stats—launch will repeat that cycle.
Tools also cannot predict RNG rewards. They narrow choices; they do not guarantee wins.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Talespinner questions.
Do tools require an account?
No. Wiki tools run in your browser without login. They do not send deck data to servers unless future tools explicitly say so.
Are tools available on mobile Switch browsers?
They work in standard mobile browsers for reading; Switch players usually plan on phone or PC between sessions.
Will tools replace tier lists?
No. Tier lists give broad guidance; tools personalize decisions once you know your deck tags.
Can I suggest a new tool?
Yes via community channels linked on the Wiki Hub. Major additions will be noted on Updates.
